"Brown paper packages tied up with strings"

I had a package on my doorstep today. From my mother : )

These are some of the goodies she recently snatched & scored for me from various garage sales & thrift stores. How does she do it?

The cutest simplistic plates!
Rainboot Sperrys : )
Springtime scarf!
"Just because" gifts are the best.

Perhaps these will become "a few of my favorite things."

The icebox tells all.

You can tell a lot about a person based on the thing that keeps their food cold

People post all sorts of things on their fridges:
-magnets
-recipes
-grocery lists
-reminders
-graduation photos
-vacation photos
-other photos
-report cards

in their fridges:
-brands?
-condiments?
-vegetables?
alcohol?
-lactose intolerant?
-Tupperware?
-is that chocolate frosting?

We have:
 -state magnets & scrabble magnets
-calendar
-friend's handwritten lyrics
-LOTS of wedding invitations
-Mr. Fleece's passing test scores : )
-various postcards
-a few coupons
I've been trying to do better with having leftovers available for lunches. This week has been a success!
Plus, I've discovered a new favorite snack: parfaits made with layers of vanilla greek yogurt, pineapples, granola  & coconut : )

I would like to meet the owners of these fridges:
minimalistic fridge
funny fridge
retro fridge
classy fridge
clean fridge

Here's to the constant restocking of the fridge,

CLUE PARTY!!

This week we invited a couple of Mr. Fleece's coworkers & their girlfriends over to participate in the murder* of Mr. Body in our mansion 600 sq. foot apartment.
Invitations to "Cupcakes & Clue."
The suspects were:

We played 2 games of Clue...
& ate cupcakes that were TO DIE FOR.
Quote of the night: "I'm going to say it was Mr. Green in the lounge with the letter opener."

*No persons were murdered in the throwing of this party.

W.E.R.L: crime.fish.Moses.stable.

Every now & then (when my life is exciting) I've decided to post a W.E.R.L: that will capture things I've done or want to do in the following categories: WATCH. EAT. READ. LISTEN.

WATCH: Sherlock on BBC.
Mr. Fleece & I have only watched the first 2 episodes (which are each 1.5 hours long) but are already hooked. Mystery + witty dialogue +  smart writing + London....case closed : )

EAT: Fish Cake Factory at 4th and Wall.
I pass this little restaurant everyday on my walk home from work & decided to have our date night here. We ordered the 10 cake sampler: California, Trout, Salmon, Catfish, Indian, Corn & pork, Crab, Shrimp & pork, Tod mun, mystery : )
READ: Exodus
Maybe it's the fact that The Bible aired on The History channel (which I haven't actually watched) or simply the fact that Easter/Passover is nearing, but I have started reading the story of Moses, beginning in Exodus chapter 1. Pretty sure God is going to teach me more about my icky heart & His crazy goodness.

LISTEN: The Stable Song by Gregory Alan Isakov
So. Good. Found this via Pandora : )

Thank goodness for verbs,
