Pickled

Last week Mr. Fleece & I puppy-sat a dog named Pickle (best name ever!). She is a six month old dachshund, pit bull, jack russell mix & could not be cuter. She's super playful, well behaved, & a cuddle puss at night! I even got to bring her to work on Friday : )

Fields & fields...

This weekend I gathered up 10 giggling girls & drove up to Skagit County, home of the annual Tulip Festival. Flowers galore, sunshine, friends that look like models, & a good old fashioned camera made for the perfect day! Here are some of my favorite (unedited) photos:
The birthday girl!!

Topped the day off at The Train Wreck Bar. Coconut prawns + fried cheese curds....YES!
Everything about this day was
too(lip) good to be true : )

Two years old.

Since Mr. Fleece & I moved to Seattle in July we've been eating, playing, hosting, serving, praying, planning, celebrating, bowling, clothing-swapping, worshiping, shopping, walking, & lunching with friends from Downtown Cornerstone Church (DCC). It's a stinkin' awesome group of people committed to
loving Jesus & serving the city of Seattle.

We just celebrated the church's 2nd "birthday." I helped with the decor & food.
We meet inside an AMC movie theater - which has become completely normal to me by now. So thankful God brought us to this fun & encouraging group of folks.

P.S. Happy birthday to my sister as well : )

W.E.R.L: wheels.mixing.keys.concert.

Watch: I've been watching Craigslist for a good deal on a bicycle. Apparently May is ride your bike to work month, so I have 3 weeks to find the perfect set of wheels : ) I'm looking forward to exploring Seattle via bike during the summer!
Eat: Mr. Fleece won us a Kitchen Aid hand mixer through his work, & we've been putting it to good use. Already we've made coconut chocolate chip cookies, pound cake, Oreo balls, & mashed potatoes!
Read: We bought a keyboard last week, so I've  been reading piano sheet music : ) I took piano lessons in elementary school & wanted to revive the talent. I've mostly been playing show tunes & theme songs (including Downton Abbey & The Office)! Hoping to put on a "recital" in the near future : )
Listen: Come Memorial Day weekend, I'll be listening to Mumford & Sons LIVE!!! Mr. Fleece bought us tickets to their show up in Canada. Vancouver + Mumford....it can't get better than that!
Scouring, baking, practicing, & anticipating,

A LOTtery of clothes

I attended another Swap Party last weekend...which may or may not have initiated my spring cleaning escapades.

12 ladies supplied piles of wonderful (free) clothing for my little heart to ohh and ahh over...but we played fair and square this time. Everyone put their initials on stickers & you had to sticker any item you liked.

If at the end of the shopping spree your sticker was the only one on the item- you simply got to take it home. If instead, there were 2+ stickers, you had to battle it out fashion show style : ) 'Twas pretty entertaining.

Here's the jackpot I walked away with:
& some of the outfits that I made:
4 Country
6 Dressy
15 Spunky
21 Preppy
24 Classy
25 Jazzy
27 Girly
43 Funky
Here are other numbers I'd like to play:

  • 19+8
  • 10
  • 5+16+13
  • 17+18+15
And I didn't even have to pay for a ticket : )

E.A.S.T.E.R

Easter decor:
Easter lunch with friends:
The spread.
Look alike deviled eggs. For all you vegans out there...these were made with potato skins & hummus.

Easter walk:
We took a stroll to Bhy Kracke park.( I think it sounds like "bike rack" park.)
Easter playtime:
We played cornhole, climbed trees, & even went dumpster diving (sorry, no picture of that one).

Such a good Easter.

Luke 24:6
He is not here, He has risen.
