Hanging out with blueberries

Everyone loves blueberry  farms.
Especially when they are right next to mountains.
Picking blueberries was easy, fun, inexpensive & the iconic summer activity.
4.3 pounds for less than $9.00. Yes. yes. yes.
Already made cobbler & smoothies. Up next, blueberry pancakes : )
People even have their weddings at blueberry farms : )
Four hours after picking blueberries at Bybee-Nims Blueberry Farms with friends, Mr. Fleece & I went back for a wedding. With Mount Si in the background, it was my favorite wedding venue thus far.

Wishing for more summer days like this,

W.E.R.L history.gardening benefits.adventure.trendy tunes

Here's my latest musings & amusements in the form of a W.E.R.L. - what I've been watching, eating, reading & listening to lately:

Watch: American Experience's four part documentary about John Fitzgerald Kennedy. In short, he was a fascinating determined young man. To hear about his youth, his father & his Addison's disease was all very eye opening.
Eat: Fresh tomatoes from our garden & I don't even like tomatoes. But when they come from your own garden, you really can't turn them down...

Read: "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas. I read "The Count of Monte Cristo" for 9th grade English & loved the twists & characters plus themes of love & revenge. "The Three Musketeers" is just as good & I'm thinking "The Man in the Iron Mask" may have to come next!
Listen: Taylor Swift's "Shake it off" on repeat & telling everyone about it. Then of course obsessing over her new short haircut, her Keds ads, her awards & her vintage style. Her new pop album comes out a few days before my birthday & it's definitely making the wish list : )

ALASKA | The scenery

I'm in awe.

"I lift my eyes up to the mountains - where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven & earth."
Psalm 121:1-2

ALASKA | The cruise

Mr. Fleece & I went on a week long cruise with his side of the family. It was a once in a lifetime kind of trip. None of us really knew what to expect, but the free ice cream & cocktails + dance classes & shows + daily trivia & games were easy to get used to : )

Here are the highlights -

Being with family

Time to relax & explore

Fun activities & shows
Unbeknownst to us, this was a Dancing with the Stars at sea themed cruise. Professional dancers from the show taught us 4 dances: Samba, Cha-Cha, Tango, Jive.
I won one of the daily showoffs & got to perform on stage : )

Fancy dinners

Each time were were on land, we had a fun excursion planned -

1st port of call: JUNEAU | Helicopter ride & glacier hike

2nd port of call: SITKA | Nature hike

3rd port of call: KETCHIKAN | Seaplane ride & bear-watching

4th port of call: VICTORIA, B.C. | walking tour

Love you all!
