Oh Mrs. Queen Anne

This past Saturday EJ & I headed for the hillside & enjoyed a walking tour of Queen Anne called

The morning began with a cup of coffee paired with a side of good conversation.
From there, we met our fellow tourists in front of the former West Queen Anne Elementary, now a condominium building.
We learned about the Mr. Kerry (a member of the parks department), loggers, shifts in architecture styles & a grab bag of historical facts as we walked through our beloved neighborhood.

Not to mention gawk at some pretty impressive mansions!
 Here are my favorites -
European influences : )
Queen Anne, I'll stroll with you any day!

Turning heads & pages

The next time you need some inspiration
for what to wear,
 just pick up a book
& let the cover, the design, the title or the spine,
outline what you're going to wear for the day.

Six example"book looks" with catchy titles below -

1. READ BETWEEN THE A-LINES
2. GO OUT AND PLAY ON WORDS
3. I ONLY READ AND WEAR THE CLASSICS
4. PUT ON YOUR LIP-GLOSSARY
 5. BOOKWORM MY WAY INTO FASHION
6. POEMS AND SHORTS STORIES
Sometimes it's okay to judge a book by its cover : )

You can never go wrong with a pumpkin patch

As much as I love tulips in the spring, I'm a sucker for pumpkins in the fall.
This weekend we explored the delights of The Farm at Swan's Trail.
We started the day off with apple cider & a tractor ride.
Wound up in a corn maze.

But no worries, it was in the shape of the state of Washington.
So we used our map of highways & byways & found our way out.
Made our way to the "orchard"
My first time picking apples! Remember to use two hands : )
Next stop: the petting zoo.
& who can pass up apple cider donuts for $1.00?
But my favorite part, hands down, was the pumpkin picking (& posing)
The three chosen ones

Fall.
The season of cider, pumpkin flavors &caramel apples.
My favorite.
