Daily living has been a bit of a whirlwind lately. Doubling hours at work and solidifying childcare is no joke! I'm looking forward to when the dust stops sticking and starts settling! But even admidst the stress of extra emails and childcare coverage on top of dishes and dinners, we've had some fun highlights. Mr. Fleece and I re-upped our tradition of skiing on New Year's Day. Plus we took a mini family trip to visit friends in Denver. Watching our kids play together up and down the stairs, through the mud room, and in and out of the kitchen, was such a blast. However, I've found myself pining for a three-bedroom house with freshly painted walls and grown-up furniture. We joked that it was unexpectedly turning into a very expensive vacation :) Contentment, I'm calling your name!
In other news, here's what's been rattling around:
WATCHING | Inside Bill's Brain gives a closer look into the curious, creative, philanthropic, semi-celebrity, Seattle billionaire, better known as Bill Gates. I particularly enjoyed learning more about his mother, his childhood, his relationship with Melinda, and having a visual of how much he reads! I'm feeling inspired and plan to jaunt over to the Gates Foundation Visitor Center again and also check out Melinda's book The Moment of Lift.
EATING | We've been surviving on no-nonsense meals, regularly supplemented by Trader Joe's all-too-convenient freezer meals, while reminiscing about an amazing dinner at Paju, a modern Korean restaurant in Lower Queen Anne. Their food is so incredibly amazing, easily one of the best meals I've had in the last year. I recommend the black squid fried rice and bulgogi. Yum!

READING | My reading list is a mixed bag for the year and includes titles like Sense and Sensibility, Crossing to Safety, The Whole-Brain Child, Save me the Plums, Risen Motherhood, and maybe even an epic novel like Gone With the Wind.
LISTENING | I've been in a bit of a music rut, but Maggie Rogers has been kind enough to pull me out. It's typical that I only like one or two songs off an album, but I'd gladly listen to Heard it in a Past Life in its entirety on repeat. She's that good.
