Life Wright Now | February

February has been an incredibly busy month. Mr. Fleece and I have been in the thick of remodeling and upgrading the upstairs unit of our duplex. Watching everything come together has been fun & we've learned a ton, especially how to be patient with one another. So many decisions...& indecision.
Photos coming soon!

Watching
This past weekend I relived my childhood & the new Netflix hit, Fuller House. The story follows DJ Fuller raising three boys with the help of sister Stephanie & best friend, Kimmy Gibbler. Overall, it's incredibly cheesy, but of course, a tad heartwarming too : ) My favorite scene so far was where Stephanie gifted Danny a suit jacket made from their blue & white couch material. #classic

Also this clip of Saoirse Ronan.

Eating
Martha Stewart's One Pot cookbook has been my recent motivation in the kitchen. With great photos, simple recipes, & easy clean-up, it's a little more appealing to cook after a long day at the office. So far I've made Classic Chicken Noodle Soup and Irish Beef & Stout Soup.
Reading
Anita Diamant's The Boston Girl follows the story of a modern woman as told from grandmother to granddaughter. It's got me thinking about hard work, family, friends, summers, & decisions.
Listening
I recently stumbled upon the band Pretty Broken Things after I heard the lead vocalist Katie Costello at a small event in Seattle. I've been listening to their album Let it Come & Let it Pass ever since. I love the songs 1983 - Present & Here it Is.

Wishing spring break still existed,

Leah is a tremendously talented artist, thinker, & designer. Her creativity shines through a variety of mediums, but the one I'd like to feature is her blog. The combination of deep thought, crisp photos, & eye-catching design is unique & fun. Take a peek and follow along.
I'm hoping her wise words rub off on me!

February Feature: Artist | Vera Neumann

What Charley Harper is to animals, Vera Neumann is to plants & florals. Best known for her napkins & scarves, Vera's textiles are colorful & cheery. In college, my mom & I made several pillows out of this fabric, and I still have one on my bed today. If you're out thrifting & want to verify whether the design is authentic or not, look for her ladybug + Vera signature.

You can also find really fun dish towels, scarves & other household items.
I love this happy little wall.

February Feature: Graphic Designer | Morrie Nimmer

One of my best friends in Seattle married graphic designer, Morrie Nimmer. I was talking with Mr. Fleece for how to best describe Morrie & we came up with artistic handyman. The man is in a scooter club, can whip up a mean bowl of chili, & appreciates a good find at Goodwill. I don't have all the design lingo down, so not sure how to best describe his work. I'll play it safe & go with "cool." : )

He knows how to design a good wedding too!
