Portland Getaway: Part 2

Here are some of the artsy/random photos we took on our trip!

Portland has 50+ unique fountains scattered around the city.

There are also very interesting murals on alleyways, buildings, & doors.
Biking is a big deal in Portland...
Maybe next time we'll go on a bike tour...
or maybe we won't.
There are lots of fun lights lit up at night for the holiday season including the famous Portland Oregon sign!
Already planning our next weekend trip,

Portland Getaway: Part 1

Last weekend Mr. Fleece & I traveled 3 hours south to Portland, Oregon. Our trip consisted of  shopping, lots of eating, & a bunch of exploring!
We hit up the Hawthorne District, an artsy part of town with tons of fun vintage shops.
It reminded me of South Congress in Austin, TX.
A PINK Christmas tree!
Portland is known for lots of yummy food spots. Without a doubt, our favorite was LARDO. We also really enjoyed Mother's for brunch & Kenny & Zuke's for lunch.
We waited in line for the famous Voodoo Donuts. They are known for funky flavors like Maple Bacon. I had one with Captain Crunch toppings & Mr. Fleece ordered a Cookies & Cream one with Oreos.

We also spent a bunch of time down at the Waterfront-walking, jogging, & even Saturday Marketing  (there's a famous weekly outdoors arts & craft marketplace.)
A fun booth at the Market.
Funky donation structures for the Market.
We did several touristy things as well!
Powell's Book Store. SO MANY ROOMS OF BOOKS.
Attended the annual Christmas tree lighting.
Walked through the International Rose Test Garden....I want to come back in spring.
Hiked to the top of Multnomah Falls.
Our first mini-vacation as a married couple : )

A Fashionable Mullet

I turned 23 recently & received a Birthday package from one of my good friends (featured in this post).
One of the items she gave me was this turquoise & navy Mullet Skirt:
Also known as a "Hi-Low" skirt.
I really like them & have been wanting one for quite some time. Here are the three options I created:
1.Fall Time

2. Spring Time
3. Date Time
Color-blocking seemed to work with all 3 looks. What do you think?
