Miss Bride - LKD

This girl is my favorite. I pretty much adore her & want to get as much time with her as my greedy little hands can manage.
She's gold, a kindred spirit, a heart friend, & perhaps more importantly, she's getting married to this fellow:
Here's our bridal celebration for the one & only Mademoiselle LKD, soon to be LDW(!!!)
Staying true to bridal shower form, we had a theme, fancy food, fancy drinks, close friends & gifts galore.
Little flower girl, EHP helping out with gifts -
Just know we're happy to stand by your side on your wedding day
AND after you return from your Parisian honeymoon : )
Let the countdown continue.

Painting the town along with my walls Part II

This month I went on three separate day adventures to new parts of the city I had yet to truly explore. I was reminded that if I can't find something to do in Seattle I'm just plain craze.

Things they have in common? South of Queen Anne. Funky sites. Great companions.
1. Pioneer Square with Mr. Fleece
We biked through the city down to Pioneer Square to grab lunch, walk around, browse shops, & enjoy the sunshine. Highlights: lunch at Delicatus & posing with miniature Bertha at Milepost 31 (my company helped with this exhibit!).
 2. Georgetown with Lilyanna
We ventured down south & poked around a bunch of vintage shops. Highlights: Not letting the rain stop us from exploring, the hipster vibe (reminded me of South Congress in Austin,TX) & the Lil' Brat (reuben sandwich) from Smarty Pants.
3. West Seattle with Ebony
On President's Day I took puppy & wandered around West Seattle leaving a bread crumbs trail with the #adventureswithebs hashtag. It was so fun to get out & about on a sunny day & see more than just Alki Beach. Highlights: stumbling upon the random log house museum (closed for the day) & Schmitz Park (a little green oasis in the city) + the gorgeous views.

Golly, I love Seattle.

Painting the town along with my walls Part I

I love me some color. Aqua,  lilac, chartreuse, tangerine - I will wear it all.

My mother is keen of this fact & purchased me these two jewels for Valentine's Day:
Bright & fun.
Yes & yes.

Also, if you didn't notice, I changed the style of my blog.
Staying up till 1:00 a.m. to decide between background & font colors - no big deal.
Also, I'm pretty proud of the perfectly centered scrolling instagram photos.

Another recent fun change-up, I purchased a new bike via Craigslist & gave my $80 bike to a friend.
It cost $160 so I'm hoping it will be twice as good : )
This bike is so comfy & smooth, plus I'm a fan of the turquoise!

So much a fan that I decided to add a similar color to our walls. I've been wanting to do this for some time & finally got around to it with the long weekend. I picked  BEHR's "Windwood Spring" out last minute, & am so so happy with the result! It's just what I was going for to brighten up our space.
I kept it simple & just painted two accent walls.

Oozing color & newness,

Birthday Cheat Sheet

I have good intentions about being a thoughtful intentional gift giver, but often I forget & have to find/send something at the very last minute. Not necessarily a fault, but nevertheless something I'd like to be better at doing. I'm hoping this little birthday calendar will help me remember friends & families' birthdays/anniversaries etc.
Because I really do care.

It's pretty much tradition that he puts the flowers in a water bottle instead of a vase...

Dancin' all night long

Last night a couple gals from work & I attended the Pacific Northwest Ballet's "The Sleeping Beauty."
The dancers were graceful, elegant, strong & undoubtedly flawless in their performance. I loved the costumes & the endearing noise that their pointe shoes made when they hit the floor.
I appreciate the choreography, precision, & performance of it all
- it definitely made me nostalgic of my high school days.

My freshman year I was a Highstepper & we performed this same
kick routine during "football season" (start at 1:25).
College Park Reveliers - LM & JT
My sophomore - senior year I was a part of the Reveliers at a brand new High School. Here are several dances I performed my junior year during "competition season."
(start at 1:20) I'm the girl in black closest to the center line/one who goes up in the air

I start out front row second to the left

(start at 1:00) Hard to explain where I am - I end up front row far left at the very end

(start at 1:00) I think I start out front row far left
My last performance my senior year of high school.
For now dancing with Mr. Fleece in the kitchen will have to do.
