Life Wright now | March

My recent lifestyle finds:

I wanted to start reading the news more to stay up to date on what's happening throughout the world, & this free subscription has done the trick. The Skimm will email you news you need to know every morning. It's short & quick to read, very informative, includes the background information so you can get up to speed & tosses in the right amount of humor/cultural references. You should definitely start reading it!
II. Plated
Mr. Fleece & I recently tried a week of Plated, a food delivery service that brings the ingredients for three separate meals right to your front door. Everything is pre-measured & the instructions are straightforward & simple to follow. Having this right at my fingertips made a big difference, & although we wouldn't continue this service on a regular basis, it was definitely fun to try. We may try out similar services in the future, especially if there's another discount offered : ) I know of Blue Apron & Munchery & HelloFresh
I could go on & on about how beautiful & lovely this website/app is. Basically someone else pulls together a Bible study plan for you & you simply admire the pretty pictures, open your bible, & follow along. You can join the current plan (LENT) or read through a past plan like "Ruth, Hymns, This is the Bible, Titus etc." Very very practical & a must to every day. Plus it's the word of God, so you literally need it in your life.
IV. Pottery Classes
Inspired by a coworker & her handmade creations, I'm considering the "Date Night" pottery class at Pottery Northwest. Hoping Mr. Fleece will be down to go!

V. Febreeze air fresheners.
I used these in a public restroom this week & was instantly sold. I plan to go to Target & purchase a few for our own toilet room.
I'd gladly be a spokesperson for any of the above,

Seattle | The city

The city is a grand place. So much life. So much hustle & bustle. I first fell in love with cities when I lived in Austin & that longing for people places & things to do has stayed with me. Here's my current city - not the beautiful trees, glorious mountains, or glistening water - the city of Seattle itself.
More often than not, I move through the city glued to my cell phone...with my head to the ground.
For this excursion, I made sure to look up. I realized Seattle is kind of like a kaleidoscope - you move one block to the north & you get a slightly different view, new colors & angles.  Twist to the right & it's a completely different collage.
This is Mr. Fleece's building. They call it the box the space needle came in.
Even building walls  & sidewalks have their charms -
So much happens in cities. It's where people work, eat, play & worship. God designed them that way.
The end of time will end in a great city. Revelation 21 says some pretty astounding things about this new heaven & new earth -

"Then I saw 'a new heaven and a new earth,' for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying 'Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away'."

"And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal."

"The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp."
In the meantime I want to follow these words from Jeremiah 29:7. "But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare."

Weekend Trip | The Oregon Coast

A couple weeks ago, eight ladies & I ventured to the Oregon Coast. I found an awesome house on air b&b right near the beach & we explored Seaside, Cannon Beach, Escola State Park, & Astoria. An amazing time to get away, connect over nail polish, brunch, & Tangled, & experience God's beauty in muddy hikes, sandy shores, & stunning sunsets!
Plus it was Valentine's Galentine's Day : )
THE RIDE:
My friend hooked me up with GMC's car loan program so for the weekend, we drove a 2015 GMC Terrain Denali. The best part is I didn't have to clean out my car or pay for anything except one tank of gas. Those seat warmers : )
THE LODGING:
I could go on & on about how great air b&b is - basically, I never want to stay in a hotel again. Not when you can find a charming ranch house like this. The sun room that overlooked the ocean was my favorite. Planning a family reunion soon? This place would be great!
THE GALS: compassionate. kind. smart. beautiful. goofy. enthusiastic. & just plain rad.
Swing on the beach!
Exploring the shops & pretending to be Belle from Beauty & the Beast
No caption needed.
 no filter. just glam.
Smiling even though our shoes are SO MUDDY.
The Goonie's House!
The group.
THE SITES: The Oregon coast is like Neverland. A little bit magical : )
Haystack Rock
Lewis & Clark statue
Astoria, OR
Already planning the next adventure,
