Word Play

The pupils of Grammar School enjoy recess.
The verbs run, skip, hop, and jump along the equipment.
Except for those linking verbs. They prefer to stand around and just be.
The prepositions love to play hide & seek - in, through, under, behind, below, and on it goes.
The know-it-all adjectives and adverbs can be heard talking about everyone and everything.
The interjections are the joyous of them all, whooping and hollering down the slide while the run-on sentences never tire of the merry go round.
All in all, it's a grand afternoon on the playground, cut too short when Mrs. Idiom calls it a day.
The bell rings and it's time for English Class.
