Up until now, it's been my gift to Mr. Fleece not to do professional family portraits. With the possibility of meltdowns and tantrums, it just never felt like a good idea. But ever since the twins started Kindergarten, I've felt the phrase "they'll never be this little again" flashing like a warning light. So when my friends S&Z showed me their maternity photoshoot with Chrissy Hart, I reconsidered. Not only did I like Chrissy's style, but I also felt like we'd be in good hands knowing she's a former Kindergarten teacher whose website says, "your kids are never too much."
I'm so glad we went for it! I wanted to capture my children just as they are, in a place we love—Jack Black Park. It ended up being a fun morning, and I love how our bright colors came together. We even got to throw rocks, look for crabs, and run down the big hill at the end. :) These photos feel like us <3
Some of the best gifts are the ones you give yourself.
