Honeymoon part 1: TOURists

Honeymoon: the time period between kissing at the altar & legally changing your last name.
On top of "Kite Hill."
Mr. Fleece & I loved honeymooning in our new city. We learned about the history, culture, & geography of Seattle & street names started making their way into my long term memory. We signed up for two separate tours where we were flooded with facts.

#1 The Duck Tour

We drove through town & saw the Pink Elephant & The Hammering Man.
-Apparently Elvis Presley took his car here multiple times a day.
-He hammers 4 times every minute every day...except for Labor Day : )

We learned tons of facts about downtown Seattle & then went for a dip in Lake Union.

Driving on the Aurora Bridge looking over Lake Union.

The Sleepless in Seattle House!! Tom Hanks was thereeeee.

#2 Underground Tour in Pioneer Square

So Seattle had a serious sewage saga back in the day. We learned about the foolish fellows who forgot about high tide & got blasted off their toilet seats due to their miscalculations.

Down below, looking up to the present day sidewalk.
This tour was humorous, interesting, & unlike anything I'd seen before.
I would never have known this existed...
Grateful for this unique city,

-SJW
