Honeymoon Part 3: Free Parking

Embarrassing Fact: Until very recently...ahem...2 minutes ago, I always thought this corner square looked like a red electrical plug. Maybe I was combining it with the electric company square? Anyway, I now see the image of a cute cartoon car.
Unfortunate Fact: Free Parking is extremely rare in Seattle.
Redeeming Fact: There are 400+ free parks in Seattle; Mr. Fleece & I went to several of them on our honeymoon!

1. Seattle Center
We can walk from our house to this tourist hub in about 15 minutes. It is home to the Pacific Science Center, Experience Music Project, & lots of screaming children playing in the large fountain.
2. Kerry Park
For a different view of the needle, everyone comes to this spot, made even more famous due to Grey's Anatomy.
3. Parsons Garden
Just a few streets down, there is a secret garden nook with the prettiest hydrangeas.
 4. Woodland Park Rose Garden
For more flowers, we visited a park near the Zoo. So. Many. Roses. I half expected to see a deck of cards with paint brushes : )

5. Discovery Park
We visited Discovery Park, which has a completely different feel! You basically hike through a rainforest & reach this awesome beach:
 6. Gas Works Park
In a lot of ways this unique park reminds me of Town Lake (shout out to all the Longhorns reading!) because of the waterfront view and amount of human activity.
In one evening we saw slackliners, skaters, lawn-game players, readers, kite-flyers, & a marching band (seriously!)....not to mention this beautiful view:
Cheers to free parking,
