This part of the house is super cozy & has fun splashes of color. Each piece of furniture was purchased separately (mostly by my mother) & here's the story on each item:
The Couch: FREE! I convinced a lovely Austinite to hand over this gem. Naturally, it's from IKEA & even leaves Mr. Fleece speechless.
The Side Table: $10 from a garage sale. This was one of my craft projects this summer. I cut out the map & stuck it under the plexiglass.
The Coffee Table: $45 from a garage sale in Texas...makes it the most "expensive" item in the room.
The Entertainment System:$15 from my mom's favorite thrift store in The Woodlands. Used to hold my dishes & glasses. Now it stores our DVDs, books, & games (& soon a TV)!
The Nesting Tables $15 from an estate sale in Willis, TX. I love this little taste of mid-century modern. Plus they'll be super useful when we have guests over.
Once we've completed an activity we put it in the green bucket. |
So if you had your calculator out, you now know that our little hodge podge comes to a grand total of $120. Needless to say, I'm thankful for these thrifty finds & my bargain loving mother.

Love this room. Probably my favorite -- especially with the entertainment set (BOOKSHELVES!). Lots of LOVE from Chapel Hill, Shannon
